Sharon Ngang
Program Assistant, Central Africa
Sharon Ngang is Smile Train’s Program Assistant for Central Africa. Originally from Cameroon, she holds a master’s in public health from Nottingham Trent University and a bachelor’s in biomedical sciences from London Metropolitan University, both in the UK.
She has more than five years of experience working in community development and health promotion initiatives, such as the national deworming campaigns of school-aged children in Cameroon.
Before joining Smile Train, she worked at Good Neighbors ( a South Korean NGO) for two years as Project Assistant, on a Neglected Tropical Diseases control project. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2019, she was with COUNTDOWN, a UKAID-funded project for controlling Neglected Tropical Diseases.
In her free time, she likes to travel, as it offers her the opportunity to learn about new cultures. If you challenge her to Harry Potter trivia, she will probably win.
